The chase, the company, the moments, the experiences that make this sport such a addictive passion.
traveling to the remote all but garentees entertaining material to recount to freinds and family when you get back as adventure and the unknown lie around every corner. Unknown languages, new cultures and unfamiliar trek from point A to point Ball make great stories. A perfect example of this could be the Punta Allen road, which streches 33 miles from Tulum Mexico, southward to the small hamlet of Punta Allen. The bumps, potholes and lake like puddles spread give it a unique character.
But for seeking anglers, not only is it a ride you wont forget, but what lies at the end is truly amazing!

Wood Violins
On December 4th, I went to see Trans Siberian Orchestra with Nate. I was counting on my favorite violinist, Mark Wood to play with the group, but he wasn't there. After reading so much on how he always plays with the orchestra, I'm wondering about why he wasn't there.
Mark Wood is the founder of Wood Violins. His company makes three models of violins that appeal to the desires of electric violinists, the Stingray, the Saber, and the Viper.
From what I've read, these are the the best (and most expensive) violins on the market, except for NS Design, but that's a whole different argument.

Streamside Reflections.
About a month ago, I finished a book named Streamside Reflections. There's more pictures than words, but it a very interesting book.
Its about a couple of experienced fly-fishermen and their travels around the the east side of Alaska, fishing some of the best steelhead streams in North America. There are countless encounters with bears, how they all slept in one 10 by 12ft tent for the whole spring, summer and fall. And of-course, how many beautiful fish they caught.
I would highly recommend this book for anyone who loves this sport. And if you aren't a fly-fisherman and would like to become one, this book will help you get started in finding the best brands, what guide services to trust and what time of year is the best for trout and steelhead fishing.
